Privacy policy
What Crafteny collects, what it does with it, who can see it, and how you leave. Written to be read; every sentence describes how the platform works.
What we collect
Your name and email address when you sign in with Google or Microsoft. We never see your password; sign-in is handled by those providers.
What you put on your company profile: your legal name and UEI, your NAICS codes and certifications, your address and contacts, your past performance and the type of applicant you are. Most of it can be read from your SAM.gov registration with one click, and you choose whether to.
The documents you upload: solicitations, templates, past proposals and the documents you keep in your knowledge base.
The work you do on the platform: the pursuits you open, the decisions you record, the partners you invite, the messages and documents you exchange with them, the agreements you sign, the packages Crafteny writes for you and the questions you ask Quill.
Feedback you send us from inside the product, and the page you sent it from.
Ordinary technical records: when you signed in, which pages you used and any errors the platform logged, so we can keep it working.
What we do not collect
Card numbers. Payment is handled by Stripe, and your card details never reach our servers.
Anything from your device beyond what your browser sends to load the page. We do not run advertising trackers and we do not sell or share data for advertising.
Public federal data
Crafteny reads publicly available federal records: contract notices from SAM.gov, grant opportunities from Grants.gov, registered entities from SAM.gov and award history from USASpending.gov. These are government publications and are not your personal data. We combine them with your profile to match you to opportunities and to rank partners.
How your information is used
To run the platform for you: matching you to contracts and grants, reading requirements, estimating value, building budgets, ranking partners, writing and reviewing packages, verifying your SAM registration, and watching award notices.
To send you the emails the product needs: sign-in, invitations you send or receive, the digest you choose to receive, and notices about your account. You can turn the digest off in Settings.
To improve the platform from how it is used in aggregate, never from the content of your documents.
Your documents and the AI
Crafteny uses AI to read notices, write drafts, score packages and answer Quill. When it writes for you, your profile, your documents and your past proposals are used to ground that draft, and only that draft.
Your documents are not used to train any model, ours or anyone else's. Our AI provider is bound by terms that prohibit training on customer data.
Everything the AI produces is marked as a draft for you to review. You decide what is submitted.
Who can see your information
The members of your workspace, according to the roles you give them. A consultant's clients each have their own workspace, kept apart from every other client's.
A partner you invite to a pursuit sees only what you send them: the invitation, the documents you request or share, and the agreement. They do not see your workspace.
Our platform administrators, only to operate the service and support you, and only as much as that requires.
Nobody else. We do not sell, rent or share your information with third parties for their own purposes.
The services we rely on
The platform is hosted, and your data stored, with a major cloud provider in the United States. Payment is handled by Stripe. Each provider operates under its own privacy terms and a data processing agreement with us.
Where your data lives and how it is protected
Your data is stored in the United States, encrypted in transit and at rest, and separated by workspace so that one company's data is never visible to another.
Access inside Crafteny is by role, and the acts that commit your company, deciding a bid, locking a team, recording a submission, are granted by name.
How long we keep it
For as long as your workspace is open.
If you close your account, it is scheduled for deletion and you have 30 days to change your mind; after that, your workspace, its documents and its packages are deleted. You can export everything first from Settings.
Your rights
You can see, correct and export your data yourself, from your profile and from Settings, at any time.
You can delete your account yourself, from Settings.
If you want anything you cannot do yourself, or have a question about your data, write to support@crafteny.com and a person will answer.
Children
Crafteny is for businesses and organizations. It is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes in a way that matters to you, we will tell you by email or inside the platform before the change takes effect. The date at the top is the date of the current version.
Questions about this policy or about your data: support@crafteny.com. Read the terms of service alongside it.

The contracts and grants you can win are already here, and so are the partners to win them with. Request a demo, start free, or see the plans.
