Team with partners

Find partners, split the work, invite them and get every agreement consented, all inside the pursuit.

Find partners

On Partners, press Search the registry to find firms by capability or name, filtered by state, certification and whether they are registered for contracts or grants. Add to network saves a firm you want to work with.

Inside a pursuit, Find firms for this work suggests firms for one specific piece of the work, and the partner finder lists who recently won similar work from public award records:

Primes to sub to
Firms that won similar work of $750K and up
Small firms to team with
Small businesses that won similar work of $100K and up
Grant and research winners
Organizations that won similar awards of $50K and up

Split the work

On the Team stage, Crafteny reads the solicitation into a list of work and proposes two or three complete teams, from going alone to a few partners, so you compare whole answers. For each piece of work it looks at your firm first, then partners you already team with, then the registry, and ranks firms by evidence, starting with an award for that kind of work.

You decide who owns each piece. Crafteny never assigns an owner for you, and it warns you when critical work is unassigned.

The 50% rule on set-asides

On a federal set-aside contract, the prime must perform at least 50% of the work itself. Crafteny adds up what your partners own and warns you before your share drops too low. A partner in the same program, such as 8(a), HUBZone or SDVOSB, counts toward your share. Grants and local contracts have no floor.

Invite your partners

  • Send the invitations emails partners whose contact you have. You can also send from your own email.
  • Send introduction appears when Crafteny can reach a partner whose contact you don't have. We send a private introduction on your behalf, with one reminder after five working days, and you get a copy. Their address stays private; if they accept, you receive the name and work email they give.

Partners need no account. Their page shows the pursuit and their proposed share of the work, and they can accept, decline, ask a question or upload the documents you request: capability statement, references, resumes, rates or certifications.

Lock the team and send agreements

Lock team works once every condition in the solicitation is held by someone, every critical piece of work has an owner, and the 50% rule is met.

Send agreement emails each partner a teaming agreement drafted with their accepted scope, exclusivity for this bid, confidentiality, what happens on award and on a loss, and the terms that flow down. You can upload your own agreement instead. Partners grant consent online with their name and work email, and any redraft asks for consent again.

If a partner declines or leaves, their work comes back to you marked for reassignment, with suggested replacements.
