How drafting works
Crafteny reads the instructions (Section L) and the evaluation criteria (Section M) first, builds the outline from them, then drafts each volume against that outline.
- 01Compliance matrix: every requirement in the solicitation, with where the proposal answers it.
- 02Outline: built from Section L and M, or from the specification divisions on a construction bid.
- 03Volumes: each section mirrors an evaluation factor and backs its claims with evidence from your profile, past performance and documents.
- 04Front matter: win themes, the executive summary and the cover letter.
Start with Draft it, Draft with your template from Profile, or Upload a template for this bid.
What you get
What Crafteny fills, and what it leaves for you
Facts from your profile go in automatically: CAGE, UEI, address, signatory and the rest. Anything Crafteny can't know is left as a bracketed placeholder, highlighted in yellow, for you to fill.
Every draft is also checked for claims your profile can't back, and these are flagged for you:
- A certification you don't hold
- A fact about your firm that your profile doesn't support
- A contract number that isn't on file
- Staff counts and figures with no source
Redraft keeps the earlier version, and Earlier drafts restores any of them. Your own edits in the editor are always unlimited.
Review it like the evaluators
Run pink team review scores the draft against each evaluation factor, on the scale evaluators use, with the strengths, weaknesses and deficiencies for each. The overall rating is set by the weakest factor, because that is how bids are lost.
Audit the package checks every file and lists what must be fixed, each finding marked critical, warning or info, along with every requirement the text leaves unanswered.
- 01Open Findings. Unanswered requirements come first, then findings by file.
- 02Click a line, and the file opens at that spot.
- 03Fix it in the editor, or redraft that section.
- 04Press Check this file again on a finding you have fixed.
